Alright everybody, found some questions while searching the internet and they seemed pretty interesting. Basically, just fill out the questions in your character's POV. It's pretty fun so far, and it helps flesh your charries out a bit~

Character Development Questionnaire: Barates Aster

What makes you nervous?
Err...when...when people get touchy-feely. People touching me randomly makes me er....nervous..... _{And I'm ticklish....}


What are you most afraid of? Why?
.......hippos. Hate them. They look funny. Not to mention...not to mention I saw a...trader-a crew mate- get bit in half by big one. Not...not something I want to experience again.

What is your greatest regret?
My...my greatest regret? It...it would be....no. I am happy with my choices. B-but I would have liked to enjoy the sea longer. And...and helped my father out more. As it is now...I...I'll likely never see him or any of my family ever again. But...but still...this...it is a choice I made. I'll not regret it.

What is your greatest achievement thus far?
Saving Pythios's freedom. Friends care for friends, right? I...I am happy I was able to help him even at the expense of my own....my own freedom. The crew will be better off-he was a much better sailor.

Your favourite musician?
Musician? I...I have no favorite. But...but I do enjoy the sound of flutes. The noise they make is er...pretty enough. Like wind.

The quality you most admire in a man?
No breasts? Fitness? This...this is about preference...right?

The quality you most admire in a woman?
Err...no penis? Boobs are a plus but er...not necessary? Wait....

Your favourite virtue?
Loyalty-that's a virtue right? If not it can shove it. Loyalty...loyalty is important-whether its to friends or family. Without loyalty you have nothing. And I'd rather die then have that.

Who would you have liked to be?
.....myself?

Your most marked characteristic?
The brand is pretty obvious. As is the red hair. And the sunburn. As for anything else...er...I have a few scars from my soldier days? And...and a few marks from rope burn on my arms and hands. From sailing.

What do you most value in your friends?
Err... friendship?

What is your principle defect?
.....but...but I have all of my limbs? But...but if you mean flaws it'd be I'm stupid? Err...wait...that...that came out wrong. Blunt maybe? Thoughtless? Oblivious?

....I think I'm digging myself into a hole.

What to your mind would be the greatest of misfortunes?
Ah. Losing a friend. Living a life without honor. Never being able to see the ocean or river again. Never...never being able to sail....

What would you like to be?

What is your favourite colour?

What is your favourite flower?
Fl-flowers are for women! M...men have no need for them! I like...I like trees and-and thorns and...and....bushes!

His favorite flower is the poppy. He thinks they're pretty.

Who are your favourite heroes/heroines of history?
Achilles. He was powerful. Even if he did die because of his stupid ankle.

What is your favorite legend/myth?
The one where Hermes steals the cattle of Apollo. I...I don't normally like thieves. But it was funny. He-he made the cows knees backwards! And he tricked the sun god! He was smart-even if he did get found out.

What is it you most dislike?
People who betray their friends. Those who do so deserve to rot in the pits of Tartarus and to have hippos feast on their flesh.

What natural gift would you most like to possess?
.........what?

How would you like to die?
This...this is uplifting isn't it? B-but dying to protect a friend would be the best death because...because I'll have saved their lives. Besides. I-I don't think I could survive if they died instead.

What is your present state of mind?
.....alive?

What is your motto?
Don't die.

What annoys you the most?
.....liars? Or...or messy nobles. Both aggravate me.

What do you hate the most about yourself?
....I'd rather not answer this one. But...but if I have to it'd be the fact that I don't know when to keep my mouth shut. Words can be er....punsihing at times. I'd rather not hurt a friend's heart if I can avoid it_{....crud...that makes me sound like a wimp....}

Err.....that I'm alive?

Character Development Questionnaire: ISIS

What makes you nervous?
Why, nothing makes me nervous my dear. But...hmm...let's just say I don't fancy the idea of losing my husband or son. But I'd say the mere idea makes me more angry then nervous, wouldn't you agree?

What are you most afraid of? Why?
Fear is such a mortal worry. We god's have no need of them.

She is horribly terrified of even the mere idea of losing Horus or Osiris.

What is your greatest regret?
Goddesses regret nothing dear.

What is your greatest achievement thus far?
Giving birth to Horus. Not many goddesses can boast so powerful a son. Then again, it is only natural he is so amazing, is it not? Osiris for a father, and I for a mother? He is destined for great things-and I can assure you I will make those things happen, don't you fear.

Your favourite musician?
Oh my...there was this one wonderful man who could play the sistrum quite well. I do believe he was a mortal, but I'm afraid his name escapes me. A pity indeed....he was one of my favorite followers.....

The quality you most admire in a man?
Strength of both body and mind is a must, is it not? Of course, Osiris already has both of these in spades. Quite a man-and quite a god. The best of them all, I can assure you. No mortal nor immortal man can compare.

The quality you most admire in a woman?
A strong mind is quite nice. A willingness to do what is right? Even better.

Your favourite virtue?
Ambition. It is what makes the world go round and what has led to this land's prosperous existence, is it not?

Who would you have liked to be?
Why, why would I want to be anybody else? I am quite pleased with who I am, I can assure you.

Your most marked characteristic?
The wings? I do suppose they are quite eye catching. Then again, I am quite a beautiful woman, am I not? Osiris does say so quite often.

What do you most value in your friends?
Why my dear, I value everything in my friends. Particularly how useful they'll be to me. Want not-waste not, my dear.

What is your principle defect?
My, my....you should know better darling. Goddesses have no defects. We only have....slight lapses in judgement.

What to your mind would be the greatest of misfortunes?
Besides losing Osiris and Horus? Losing my powers of course. Nothing is quite so frightening as losing one's magic, this I can promise you.

What would you like to be?
Nothing other than myself-I do think we already covered this darling.

What is your favourite colour?
I do enjoy the color blue. It is quite a wondrous color indeed-almost like the color reflected off the Nile, when the sun hits it just right.

What is your favourite flower?
The lotus. It is quite a beautiful flower. And it hides a threatening strength. Tell me, have you ever attempted to pull one up from the roots? It is....not an easy feat to say the least.

That so small a flower is so strong, it is quite an amazing feat, is it not?

What is your favourite bird?
Why, the kestrel of course. Such a majestic creature-swift and clever. Why else would I take its form?

Who are your favourite heroes/heroines of history?
.....my dear, do you remember who you are talking to?

What is your favorite legend/myth?
Darling, I do think we covered this.

What is it you most dislike?
Chaos and disorder. Such things do not belong in this universe-they only cause trouble and as such, I have no need for them.

What natural gift would you most like to possess?
My magic is quite enough, dear. I have no need of any other gifts.

How would you like to die?
I'd rather not die at all. The death of a goddess after all, is quite a scary thought indeed. Only when our worshipers dare stop following will we completely die out...and should that ever happen, I can only hope for the best.

What is your present state of mind?
My feelings at the moment? Pleased you could say, though I am afraid I cannot tell you why. Ah, but you'll find out in due time, don't you worry dear.

What is your motto?
Endure.

After all, once you can endure something, you can over take it quite easily. All it takes is waiting until you can see just where the kinks are. It is...a valuable saying to say the least.

What annoys you the most?
I do so hate it when people use my name in vain. Really, what sort of swear is 'Isis's hairy feet' anyways? And besides- my feet are perfectly hairless. Not a strand in sight. Now Bes on the other hand...well, I'll not be one to pass along gossip.

What do you hate the most about yourself?
Me? Hate something about myself? My dear, it does seem you have forgotten who you were talking to, now doesn't it?

What do you like the most about yourself?
Everything of course. I am a lucky woman-better yet a lucky goddess. What else could I want for?

What makes you nervous?
Deep water.


What are you most afraid of? Why?
Again, deep water. I can't swim.

What is your greatest regret?
I can't say I have a greatest regret, per se... But there have been some people I've regretted killing, here and there.

What is your greatest achievement thus far?
Gaining the worship and power I have today, I suppose. People might say faithfully defending Ra from an enormous demon snake every night is quite the fantastic achievement, but it's not what I take the most pride in of my duties.

Your favourite musician?
Hn? Harps are rather nice. Flutes aren't bad on the occasion you can find a good player.

The quality you most admire in a man?
Ah, a brazen attitude~ Doing and saying whatever he pleases without regard for the opinions of others.

The quality you most admire in a woman?
About the same... I like women with some fire to them, hahaha.

Your favourite virtue?
Hmmm... Patience, perhaps? So many things can go your way if you only give them the time...

Who would you have liked to be?
No one in particular. Though I take pride in all of who I am, I certainly wouldn't mind a more handsome animal form now and then....

Your most marked characteristic?
I have "marked characteristics" in abundance, haha. My human form has red hair as vivid as blood and skin fairer than many a foreigner's. My eyes have the shine of a dagger in the light and glow yellow in the dark. My natural form, in particular my head, has quite a few characteristics hard to take your eye off of...

What do you most value in your friends?
That they would always stick beside me no matter what others may think.

What is your principle defect?
.... I can be rather arrogant at times, I guess.

What to your mind would be the greatest of misfortunes?
Specifically, losing my divine power... Or otherwise falling out of favor with mankind, or being sealed into human form somehow...

What would you like to be?
Precisely what I am, I think, hahaha.

Red.

I find lilies quite appealing. Daisies, too.

Hmm.... I enjoy the ibis, I suppose.

Hn... Hahaha... I don't think heroes are quite my type in most instances.

Myself, of course~

What is it you most dislike?
Goody-two-shoes. Those who play by the rules all the time. Those who are content to worthlessly mill through their lives like cattle. Osiris and his brat nephew.

What natural gift would you most like to possess?
I think I would be happy to receive any more power than I already have, haha.

How would you like to die?
It's a moot point, as I don't plan on doing so.

Hn? Bored, I suppose.

Hate is a rather strong word. I don't think I hate anything about myself.

Ohh, this is a hard one. Hmm.... I am calculating and clever. I can't imagine not having those two qualities. But I also like my powers and dominion. Sand and storms suit me.

What makes you nervous?
Being unarmed, for the obvious. Being in daylight or a wide, open space. I don't like feeling exposed. But I don't... I don't really like crowds, either. Too.. busy... Too much to pay attention to.

What are you most afraid of? Why?
Getting caught. Also obvious.

( He's also scared of getting too attached to anybody, for liability's sake. )

What is your greatest regret?
... Sometimes I think it was a bad idea to break into the tombs I did. Naturally, I considered it would attract the palace's attention.... But I did not consider how it would effect my reputation amongst everyone else...

What is your greatest achievement thus far?
The two royal tombs I stole from, I suppose.

Your favourite musician?
I don't really like music.

The quality you most admire in a man?
I don't.

Again, I don't.

A god, maybe? Then again, I don't know.. That sounds like a lot of work, ha.

( Most prominent "defect" might be his recklessness, or otherwise his overall rude temperament, lol. )

Getting caught.

I'm not sure any normal job is particularly desirable. But I wouldn't want to be some royal brat either.

I don't really have one... Gold, I guess.

I've never thought about it.

I don't like birds.

I don't know much history.

... I'm not sure I have one. I've enjoyed more foreign myths than Egyptian ones... but I haven't heard very many of the former. Not enough to pick a favorite, I guess.

What makes you nervous?
Heights. Dear God, heights.

What are you most afraid of? Why?
I would say heights off-hand, but, accidentally hurting someone I care about, whether it be physically or mentally, is a pretty terrifying thought. I’m not sure how I would live with myself after that?

What is your greatest regret?
I’m not sure…I suppose I don’t really have one yet. I get frustrated by the after-effects of things I’ve done, but. I move on, you know?

What is your greatest achievement thus far?
Moving to Egypt, and arriving in one piece.

Your favourite musician?
My cousin is actually a very good singer.

The quality you most admire in a man?
Intelligence and decency. If he’s an idiot, he’s a boy, not a man.

The quality you most admire in a woman?
Me and my fellow females need to be clever, but compassion couldn’t hurt, either!

Your favourite virtue?
Patience, probably because it is difficult for me. I practice it as often as I can, though.

Who would you have liked to be?
An idiot. Then I wouldn’t be so irritated when I look around and see people blatantly undermining each other.

Your most marked characteristic?
My accent, probably, and my overly curly hair.

What do you most value in your friends?
Trustworthiness, above all else. If you’re fickle and feint all the time, I can’t really call you a friend. I’ll try, believe me, but it just…it just might not work out.

What is your principle defect?
My lack of an ability to sense danger? I kind of just…assume everything and everyone is safe, unless I am forced into a situation where my decision-making does not solely affect my well-being. I’m much better at being cautious for the sake of someone else than I am for myself.

What to your mind would be the greatest of misfortunes?
Losing the people I care about.

What would you like to be?
I like what I am.

What is your favourite colour?
Green.

What is your favourite flower?
I like Zinnias and Cala Lilies.

What is your favourite bird?
Any bird that I can view from a safe distance.

Who are your favourite heroes/heroines of history?
I quite like hearing about real people...ancestors of mine, or of friends, who did great things.

What is your favorite legend/myth?
There’s a great story about an Egyptian princess, Scota, who travelled the world. The land I am from is named after her.

What is it you most dislike?
Blatant dishonesty. If you’re going to lie to me, at least put forth some effort.

What natural gift would you most like to possess?
At this point I’d just like to be able to get my head around pronouncing all of these Egyptian words…baby steps. Success comes in baby steps.

How would you like to die?
I don’t know? I suppose it wouldn’t really matter, since once I’m dead, I’ll be done with the process. It’s not one of those things where ‘how you get there’ really makes a difference in where you end up, is it?

What is your present state of mind?
Fairly excited. I like answering questions.

Just breathe…baby steps.

What annoys you the most?
People. And oddly enough, they also fascinate me the most! It’s like a riddle you work on your entire life, but never truly solve…frustrating, but entertaining at the same time.

The times when I do lose my temper…I can…I can be a little careless with my words.

How rarely I do lose my temper.
