D' you breathe the name of your saviour in your hour of need,
And taste the blame if the flavor should remind you of greed?
D' you breathe the name of your saviour in your hour of need,
And taste the blame if the flavor should remind you of greed?
Of implication, insinuation and ill will, 'til you cannot lie still,
In all this turmoil, before red cape and foil come closing in for a kill

body type: In her human guise, Isis wears the form of a volumptuous woman. She has pronounced hips, and a voluminous bust. Her natural form is slightly less buxom, and a bit more slender with less pronounced curves.
hair and eyes: Thick black hair falls down to her shoulders, and within the jet black strands some colors of brown peak through. Beads are usually laced through it and she tends to weave gold pleats in it as well. Her eyes however are a shining bottle-green that wavers to a shimmering ocean blue depending on the strength of the Nile- even when in her human form.
clothing style: Depending on her form, Isis' clothing can vary. Her human form is more likely to be dressed in white robes with gold edging while her true form is usually clothed in gold dresses . Jewelry makes a predominate part of her wardrobe and even when walking among the more common folk, she can be found with at least one morsel of gold, whether pleating her hair or hanging from her ears or arm.
overall appearance: Deeply tanned in both her human and her natural forms with the dark caramel color typical to most Egyptians, Isis generally shows herself as a full-bodied woman with the slightly wider hips of one who has given birth. A tall woman in both her natural and human forms, her true form is that of a winged woman. Her hair is a deep black with brown highlights, usually with gold plaits woven through the dark strands. In her true form, she also wears an elaborate headdress.
No matter what form she takes, her eyes are always a vivid green or blue, the same color as the jewels on the jewelry that dot her skin. Other than her human form and her natural form, she also is known to take the shape of a small kestrel the same shade as her hair or a cow with gold horns.[/ul]
It's all a game, avoiding failure, when true colors will bleed
All in the name of misbehavior and the things we don't need
All in the name of misbehavior and the things we don't need
[li]Osiris {both her husband as well as her twin brother, Osiris is an important figure in Isis's life and there is little she wouldn't do for him.}[/li][li]Children {As the goddess of motherhood, it seems fit that she would like children, no? She has a fondness for infants and toddlers in particular-they remind her of when Horus was younger.}
[/li][li]Loyalty {Those who stay fast to their beliefs hold a special place in Isis's heart and even if they are loyal to a foe against her, she can't help but admire their zeal}
[/li][li]Honor {A proud woman, Isis holds honor in high regard}
[/li][li]Love {Let it be said that Isis is a romantic at heart}
[/li][li]Being Right {Who likes to be wrong, no?}
[/li][li]The Nile {There is something about the shimmering waters that speaks to her. The fact that she's said to give life to it? Mere circumstance I assure you.}
[/li][li]The Sun {one of the protectors of Ra's ship during his journey, Isis enjoys seeing all of her hard work come to fruition. Not to mention the sun is hot, and warms her skin}
[/li][li]Cold desert nights {despite her love for the sun, Isis enjoys the chill air against her flesh and the way the stars seem brighter}
[/li][li]Horus {As her own child, it stands to see that she loves her son.}[/blockquote]
dislikes:
[/li][li]Set {Though he might be her brother, Set's personality tends to grate on Isis's nerves. Of course, whether she'll let her dislike show will be a different story all together.}
[/li][li]Blood {She dislikes the color of blood, as well as the metallic tang it makes when she tastes it in the air}
[/li][li]Sickness {A healing goddess, anything that can threaten her power she dislikes immensely}
[/li][li]Conflict {Isis doesn't really care for conflict-or at least up front. She will be quite happy to sneak around behind your back however.}
[/li][li]Being Wrong {Isis doesn't like being wrong at all. If it means tweaking things so that her story sounds right? Well, so be it}
[/li][li]Abusers {There is a hard place in Isis's heart for those who dare abuse women and children. Those who do so will usually find a scorpion or a snake in their bed-completely by circumstance of course.}
[/li][li]Thieves {As a woman who holds honor and truthfulness in high regard, she has little care towards those who thieve, that is unless they decide to go against their ways of course. Then she will be all ears.}
[/li][li]Murderers {People who kill women and children in particular will get to meet Isis's cruel side-the one who sends out snakes to poison people}
[/li][li]Chaos {Isis likes things to be nice and neat, completely predictable. When things fall out of this little niche she tends to get rather irked to say the least}
[/li][li]Losing Power {An ambitious woman to say the least, Isis holds her power in high regard. Should any attempt to take it from her they'll find themselves sleeping with a horde of scorpions}[/blockquote]
secrets:
[/li][li] She's thought about using Ra's true name to force him to make Osiris the supreme god.
[/li][li]She is completely terrified of the thought of losing-whether its her own husband or child or even her power and rank as a goddess[/blockquote]
personality: Isis's personality can be best described as a mixture of two faced and 'mother knows best.' Because well, she does. Isis that is. Mortals are but little lambs that need guidance and Isis is all too happy to give it to them, provided they follow with her wishes of course.
Though her human front is one of a kind, motherly woman with a demure voice, Isis' will only be such while her wishes are met and then her true ruthlessness will come out. It was she after all, who poisoned Ra and forced him to tell her his true name in exchange for the antidote to the poison slowly killing him. She can be cold, calculating and even out of touch with her followers at times-not that she'll let them see that.
She is one of the most worshiped goddesses throughout Egypt for a reason you know-and not all of that was taken from being nice.
She is highly vain, despite her attempts to seem the humble wife and should she find out that someone has paired up with a god she has no favor for, she will try her best to wheedle them to change patrons and should they still not decide to follow her, she will (not without regret I assure you) side with their enemies.
Her ambition sometimes also gets the best of her, and despite her attempts to be kind-or at least appear to be-she will sometimes treat humans as little more than ants as well as other gods and goddesses.[/li][/ul]
